Party Everywhere Tonite !!!

Sorry about Dexter’s mumbling yesternite. I guess he’s just feeling moody at that moment. I understand truly how he felt and reasoned out with him liao. He’s fully recovered now.
Ok, side track now… Miss Right will have a party at home tonite and I’ll be gone. Should be meeting Wilson for dinner first before heading down to Fluid Bar for the NYE party. Some other ex-colleagues will be there too, I presume. Well...dun know how heavily will be the drinking tonite…but after that, it could be followed by 2nd round with Miss Right & gang at home. In case I’m gone tonite, HAPPY NEW YEAR, people !! May you have a better year ahead that filled with fun, joy & happiness.
Btw, I’m trying to prepare a list of new year resolutions…

The Dexter in me...

OK…the Dexter (the other person in Darren) got something to say. The following are all from him. Dexter: I hate pretentious people…really. Why worries ? You can be frank with me anything…serious, I can take it. Yeap… I had one classic experience today. Petty story you may call it…but still…I dun expect people that I assume to be more than a colleague to me behaving this way. Wat a disappointment. Linus, one day when you read this; it’s ok. You well aware that Bran & I dun really click with MS, so it doesn’t matter if he dun call us for the dinner. You dun have to be so secretive, telling lies right in front of us and yes, you can always be frank with us. Isn’t it worst that we found out from someone else !! It’s not like, we MUST go along. Anyway…just some sincere comments from us… ha-ha... Peace, ok !

Unlikely thoughts....

Fuck…I start having that kind of thoughts already !! As in the thoughts of finding a new job !! It’s not at a desperate stage or confirmed stage but more on a very very early thoughts. I dunno…maybe it’s the management style or the way they run things here…I dunno. Anyway, it’s just a harmless thinking…nothing much…or maybe I’m just feeling bored….
Yeap…we confirmed driving back together this coming CNY with Kevin, Nami & Miss Right. Hopefully, it will be a nice roadtrip along the way…
And yeah, Miss Right will be organizing new year party at home this coming Saturday. Ha-ha...I guess wun be at home… Maybe at the Fluid Bar party…we shall see...
Goodnite people…got to go…just bottoms up 2 cans of beer with Miss Right…just nice for a good & nice sleep…

Godiva

A box of Godiva chocolate for the 2 of us from broker. And we were just talking about it the other day about haven tasted the expensive chocolate before… Super duper quiet in the office. Basically nothing much…expected to be quieter these coming 2 days. Heard from some sources, in Korea, they’ll give out electrical things on CNY. And this coming year, the management here might wanna follow the same style. Good…’coz it could be as much as $600 - $700. But dunno wat item I want leh…
Seow bought me dinner just now at Changi Village. Cheap but nice. Bloody full now. Brother just msg’ed me earlier and said parents went Hatyai tonite and coming back on Friday nite. Yeah…I knew about it few weeks back…but very bad leh…dun even bother to call back to check on them…

Poor little Big Ape...

Johnny called this morning. He came back from Taiwan not long ago and will be going back there after CNY. I really hope we can meet up one of these days. Anyway, he said he’ll arrange.
Watched King Kong with Miss Right just now. 3 hours show. Luckily we’re seated at the “center aisle seats”. Easier to go toilet anytime. The special effects are super fantastic and you’re totally forgotten about those things are not real in the 1st place. Quite touching too. Bloody hell, the ape made me cried out 2 teardrops in all. It’s really that emotional. Hmmm…back to work tomorrow…SIAN…!

Unbelievable odds pay-out !!

Seow bought me breakfast this morning ‘coz he won a consolation prize for yesterday 4D. Well…with him, as expected, we shared and bet on some new soccer matches for tonite. Some miracles needed here:

MU – WB; odd for WB=$17 >> total amt: $340
Tott – Birm; odd for Birm=$8.6 >> total amt: $172
Sun – Bol; odd for Sun=$4.6 >> total amt: $92
Liv – New; odd for New=$5.3 >> total amt: $106
Chel – Ful; odd for Ful=$18 >> total amt: $360

Am I committing suicide here ? Fine…let’s hope for the best !! Like my fren said, maybe just right after Christmas, the rich players went party and booze and sex and smoke and everything…so came back not in top form whereas, the no-money teams, will keep on training throughout the festive days….and lots and lots of other analysis… Please..please...at least 1 match, I'll make even liao...So, wish me LUCK….

  • Me & Wil finished up 1 jug of ribena-vodka.
  • Talked nonsense with meinu-Shirley over MSN.
  • The high feeling started hitting us…
  • The He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named came and picked Sha up.
  • Wil left not long after that…too early rite ??
  • The mission failed: though Wil left with super high condition but…
  • NOT ENUF !!!

Merry Christmas

Woke up this morning for breakfast with Seow. Collected our winning monies for last week matches; $100plus. Came back and went for hair cut with Miss Right at Shunji Matsuo, Tampines. Cut till pretty short leh... Had my long afternoon nap from 3 to 6. In the end, Miss Right chose to go for movie with her frens. So, I went ahead with Robin’s Christmas house party. Bloody hell, gave us last minute notice about the $5 gift exchange. Luckily got some stocks at home. Fongy and bf, JC came and fetched me around 8. Went to buy the KFC family feast set. Also, gave Beanie the wine I asked Linus to buy the other day. Well, the party, as usual, foods, drinks, games and meeting new friends. Though can’t remember most of their names. Btw, no formal introduction being carried out hor... OK… at least got to know JC more. Anyway, reached home at 2 plus. Merry Christmas, everybody…

Drinks at The Balcony

I dun have any office gift exchange this year; which was a great relief. You dun landed up buying something people dun need or dun like and vice-versa. However, we had this goodie bag from co which consists of one big bottle of wild honey all the way from Tasmania, 1 big tub of Famous Amos macadamia nut cookies, 1 box of Royce champagne chocolate & 1 packet of honey sticks. Haiz…give me money, I’ll be happier leh… And then, like I mentioned yesterday, we had wine tea-break at 4 plus. Hmmm…we had platters of sushi from Sushi-Tei, dim sums, various slices of cakes from Bakers Inn and of course, the wine.
Left office and met up with Wilson at about 7.30pm. We went ‘kar soh” a.k.a Swee Kee for dinner. Quite awhile since the last time we came. There’s a period of time, we came almost every other week. Ray supposed to join us but as usual, Ray being the Ray, never showed up. He said; call him only if we want to go for supper !! Well... we then moved over to The Balcony bar at Heeren, Orchard. Quite a nice place to chill out but definitely NOT to talk. Orchard Rd was damn bloody crowded. I think the whole 3mil plus people came out for shopping. Fongy dropped by for awhile…really awhile, as in, if you go toilet and come back, you’ll miss her…that kind of awhile. Anyway, never thought of meeting her tonite. Bloody hell, made me opened up the Royce chocolate and stole away the packaging…and she only had 1. Wat to do, the chocolate was melting liao…Wilson finished it lor…
We left there around 10plus and walked around HMV for some CDs. Shared a cab and left Orchard at 12midnite. And yeah, Beanie called earlier. Asked me why I’m not going and made me felt so guilty. Hey, I told you long time ago I can’t confirm going and also dun prepare my food rite ..? Anyway, will see how…might drop by for awhile lor… I heard from trusted sources, it will be Christmas Eve party cum match-make sessions, rite !!??

To collect new passport on 3Jan'06.

Woke up at unearthly hour, 5.45am. Reached the M’sia High Comm at 6.50am. And can you believe it, there’s already a bloody long queue outside. The place wun open till 8am. So, waited for 1plus hour and my queue #...1043. (dun know why they must start from 1000) Ok fine, seated inside and when it’s my turn, it’s already 10am. Well…still not so bad; this was my target time, anyway. And best, surprisingly, the service is not so bad and in fact, quite nice and helpful (not wat I expected). That’s why you see, no expectation = no disappointment. However, the most amazing thing was, the “security guards” (I think they are, at least from the uniform they wore). Besides ‘watching over the crowd”, they were like super multi-tasked. From checking thru each and everyone when we’re queuing for enquiries, forms, etc to issuing of queue numbers + inspecting the forms to “administrating the waiting area”. ** claps claps **. Anyway the office here in Hill Street will be a temporary one only. I heard (yes, from the guard) that they’re moving back to Jervois Road in February.
Nevertheless, there goes my SGD 133 for the 32pages new passport.
Came back and had my lunch and took my 4 hours afternoon nap from 2 to 6. Tomorrow back to work…and yeah, they’ll be having a mini wine session in the tea-break time…so, everybody will be high from 4pm onwards…

On leave tomorrow...

We had free lunch today. Where ? It’s at this Japanese restaurant, Keyaki; Pan Pacific Hotel. High crass Japanese food. However, I more prefer the route along heading to the restaurant. Very Japanese. For awhile, you thought you’re in a small village in Japan. Quite ex though. A simple set lunch cost $40+++. Anyway, who cares !!
Need to wake up super early tomorrow. Going down to Hill Street, M’sia Embassy to make my passport….Zzzzzzzz..

No more Soup Restaurant for at least 2 months...

The aunties-luncheon today at The Soup Restaurant. Susan was on her compliance leave now and came down to meet up with her "sisters" at Suntec. So, I tagged along lor. Anyway, I know all of them too; Cindy S, Daisy N, Mary P & Kathy O (the sexy + only non-aunty). All of them are RMs now with Citi's FI; high profile and big shots. Knew them since I joined Citi 11 years ago...and I'm still a baby then...awww...btw, they known me by the name - Weng Onn a.k.a the name b4 I got famous. Cindy was actually my 1st immediate boss long long time ago...Haiz...talking to them really brings back lots of old-time memories…
Then, at night, met up with Ai Li, PK & Kevin for dinner. Ai Li is working for British American Tobacco as some IT Project Manager. She’s actually on training here for 5 days. She’s super slim though just gave birth to a twin boys few months back. Guess where we had our dinner ?? Ha-ha…yes… The Soup Restaurant…since the 2 gals prefers there so much…ok lor…being the very accommodating one, eat there AGAIN lor… Walau, during the chatting, brought back a lot of names that I totally erased off from my mind liao…those who attended the computer studies course together 12 years ago…; names like Khong Jun, Sing Pey, Christine, Eddie, Albert, Yee Mai, Swee Siew, Ah Pang, etc…my god…where are all these people now ??? We then, went to Starbucks at Suntec and continued to chat there. Promised to meet up with the rest of the gang during CNY…as usual, say first…

Muscle or joint pain ??

Slow Monday…nothing much. Felicia’s Christmas party has been cancelled due to “poor response”. Felt quite bad too for not even replying to her whether to go or not to go in the first place.
My knee cap is feeling pain now…I dunno why… might be over doing the treadmill…but funny leh…I ran on Saturday but the pain was only started this afternoon…it just came like that…Just rubbed some medicated oil..and will see how it is, tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow, lunch with Susan and some ex-colleagues in town. And yeah, Ai Li will be coming down for business trip from KL. Will be meeting her, PK & Kevin for dinner. I’m out now…got to rest my legs…

Possible Roadtrip ?

Met up with Seow again for lunch. Yes, we used to meet up this frequent ! Bet some soccer matches. This bloody guy always never fails to tempt me with these things. All in all, spent $50 on all the matches. Wish me luck…Shopped around Tampines Mall for a pair of roller blades but can’t find one. Kevin called me earlier and suggested that why not we drive back during CNY; this rich guy just bought a new car. I got no problem since I can either follow his car or my brother’s car. But as for him and Miss Right, they’ll need to try to sell back their tickets which they already bought. No matter wat, they’ll still lose some money. If he drives back...ok lah...quite fun; it’ll be like a road trip. We’ve been talking about this idea since donkey years ago…when I’m still pimple-less. Anyway, will discuss further next week when Miss Right is back.

Peaceful and Quiet Saturday...

Went to the gym this morning at 9am. Luckily never really expect Fongy to be there although she has been nagging and nagging to go since Monday. She’s actually on the way there but last minute, she detoured to the Mango sales. Can you believe it ? Anyway, left the gym at 11 and met up with Seow for lunch. He picked me up from Bedok and we went to this wanton mee which is supposed to be quite nice. Long time never see him liao. He used to be my cheonging kaki too...long long time ago. Then, became my dinner kaki pretty frequently until recent days. Any needs of “adult news & info”, he’ll be my first stop. Ha-ha, this guy somehow full of these kind of lobangs… Supposed to follow him to Paya Lebar for car repairs but can’t because…I got an appointment with the dermatologist. Another round of check & clean-up. Doesn’t seems get better leh…sigh…
Miss Right is in Bangkok now…till Tuesday. FREE and world peace…waited for this weekend for awhile liao…I cooked my own dinner just now…damn happy with my newfound recipe; baked dory fish with chilli black bean sauce with lots of lots of spring onion and garlic.

Last TUG outing for the year...

Ok…the T.U.G met up last night. Supposingly, this Ray will bring us to some mysterious place for dinner but in the end, he was so late that we can’t go there anymore. Edna, Wendy & myself left Suntec at 7.00pm and reached TJ at around 7.30. Waited for Ray and Wilson downstairs. Sharon was there at about 7.45pm. Initially, we thought we need to wait for another 20mins but in the end, we waited for 1 hour...it’s too much for the gals to bear liao and we landed up at Fish & Co in TM. We went on to Changi Airport for coffee and cheesecakes at Pacific Coffee. Chilling out there for quite awhile. Chit-chatted and talked nonsense as usual; ok lah…especially me who talked the most. But come to think of it, can’t blame me; the bloody Wilson is damn irritating too; like to ask for trouble. Like what Edna said, the both of us are the oldest but we behave like the youngest. Hey, FYI, it’s not me ok…it’s Wilson who dun wanna grow UP. Yeah, took some pictures too after much much persuasion. Why they (the girls) dun wan to take leh ? “Coz, they said I never forward them the pictures !! Haha…which is true. Anyway, promised them I’ll definitely give them the online album link by Saturday night. Then, we exchanged Christmas presents too. Haven’t open mine yet; see how long I can tahan… It’s a bit early this year for the gift exchange ‘coz everybody are not free during the Christmas weekend. Still haven’t buy Wilson’s birthday present. Most probably will be vouchers…Someone suggested to book into Ritz Carlton during New Year Eve...haiz...see how it goes first...

Hampers !!!

Today, in office, MS was so nice. He got this hamper from someone and decided to separate out the things inside for distribution. So, we got this micro lucky draw. Your sweetie me got the …BREAD !! Yes, bread. Some kind of “English bread”. Left it in the office's pantry. I’m actually eying at the wine but…just not my luck. Anyway, there’re about only 6 things inside. So, all of us (as in the operation team) got something. Guess more and more hampers will be rec’d in this coming weeks. Yes…making us all into more festive mood !!! Left office at 6.45pm to meet up with Wendy and Edna to rush down to TJ for our monthly TUG outing.

Change your Attitude...! For God sake...

Accumulating damages had been done. It’s no point trying to pretend nothing happens and be good to people. Once, fine. Twice, acceptable. Third time, no choice, take it. Fourth, fifth, sixth, etc. when will it end ? It’s useless to show your temper easily and then patch things up by being nice. Dun waste your time !! People can’t take your shit again and again and again…Ha-ha…ok, just some nonsense from me.
On a happier note, there’ll be 2 parties near Christmas. One, by our dear Beanie (Christmas Eve) and then, another one on Christmas Day; by Felicia. Oh yeah, our Miss Right leh...she might organize something and it’ll be better for me to be at home. Anyway, we shall see how…
Today was supposed to meet up with PT and Greg for dinner cum drinks. As usual, someone can’t make it at the very last minute and it was cancelled. Tomorrow will be our T.U.G monthly outing. Ray will be driving and bring us all to somewhere that we still dun know where it is.
Btw, I lost another kg. Fuck…izit something wrong with me ?? Dropped 5kgs in the past 2 months !!!

Everything's fixed.

I’m totally so piss-off now that I wanna beat myself. The plumber came to fix the pipes and the rubbish chute. No..not because of him. In fact, he’s super friendly and helpful. We need to clear both cabinets under the basin that were filled with plastics bags, unused plates & bowls, pots, dead lizards and cockroaches. It’s bloody smelly and dirty. Salute to all plumbers. Halfway thru, Miss Right came back and as usual, will “ask” lots of things which I normally can’t take when I’m in a super down mood. But still, izit I piss-off ‘coz of her…I dunno. I just dun feel right this evening. Anyway, in the end, it took 2 hours to repair all the things and I need to put back everything nicely into the cabinets. Threw away some of the things. So, might as well mop and flush the whole kitchen floor. Hot…hot…hot…now ! Fine…everyone have their bad day. Today is mine. Got to go and find my soul now…which left me earlier…Goodnite and good luck.

Me Addict ? Yeah, sure...

Let the race begin.......
The awards season is in full swing now. As in, the movie awards. And I think I’m obsessed. I have been reading lots and lots of movie critics made and those various movie blogs. Extensively been checking out all the reviews and comments. And then, loyally been monitoring all the winners announcement too…from Independent Spirit Award to LA Film Critics to NY Film Critics to Boston Society of Film to National Board of Review to Washington Area Critics to San Fran Critics Circle to Broadcast Film Critics to American Film Institute to Golden Globe to Screen Guild Actors Award. Of course, all these will be announced one by one and will narrow down to the final big pie; the OSCAR, which is the ultimate and final big award. The academy will be giving out the awards on March 5 – 06. Am I hardcore enough ?? Haha...You wanna know who’s the official critics’ darling ?? Ask me…from best PIC to Director to Actor to Actress to supporting…etc. Who are the HOT favorites now !!??

Europe, anyone ?

I believe mostly, dreams are unexplainable. Here's the conversation that I had with a fren in my dream this morning; we're at some coffee shop and chit-chatting with Mr X (which I can’t remember who). It's his wedding the next day and we're going to be his "brothers".
Me: So, tomorrow, wat time ?
Mr X: Hmm...as early as possible lor...
Me: Meaning ???
Mr X: Fine..let’s set it at 5 morning.
Me: Walau..so early...Then, go where and fetch the bride huh ?
Mr X: Budapest.
Me: Oh..ok.
You see..can you believe it?? No sense at all and weird enough, I dun feel anything uncommon at all in my dream. It's just normal to me. I had another odd dream and keep on telling myself to remember it but...I just cannot recalled after coming out from the toilet this morning.

Damn bloody sian and moody this morning. Why ?? "Coz I need to call the owner to let her know that the rubbish chute and kitchen basin are spoilt. Dun really like to talk to her, especially reporting these kind of things. Next, the boss was on leave - leaving me behind, lonely boy. And then, I need to take time-off to go down to M'sia Embassy to collect some forms. Bloody hell..like so many things like that...So sian until never really talk to Miss Right throughout the whole journey to town this morning…And yeah, btw, on a very rare case, left office at 6.15pm.

That's why I dun like cheap stuff !!

Had my brunch with Miss Right at 11am. Bought a new ironing board for only $12 after much persuasion from her. And you know wat, cheap stuff will never be good stuff. Just tried it and it’s a BIG disappointment. First, it’s like super low, I gotto bend down pretty low to iron my shirt. Then, I can’t really put the iron at the side metal ‘coz it’s too heavy that the board will tumble to the other side. And the board looks super flimsy and fragile that it keeps on moving and feel like falling down any moment. Haiz…wat to do...iron with tender and care lor…bought already wat…
We’re going to cook tonite…after like dun know how many aeon years since the last time we cook. It’ll be simple dishes with veggie, fish & baked beans; my specialty.
And yeah, it’s Lijuan wedding dinner tonite. I’m not attending because of some selfish and kiddish reasons. Very bad hor…? BUT…but, I told her from the very beginning liao and most importantly, angpow will still be given…

Patience is good.

Had a good sleep last nite. In fact, woke up quite early and reached the gym at 9.15am. Seriously, not many people at all. I guess, most of them went cheonging last nite or everybody are in festive mood; no time for exercise. Half way thru running the shitty treadmill, Miss Right called (she’s working) and asked me where am I. She said today, ONLY today, the 1st 100 customers to buy Ipod Nano at their Wheelock Branch, can get it at half price. It’s about 200plus after discount. She said can go and queue for her or not ?????? I’m speechless !!!!!! She further elaborated that her colleague’s husband was queuing there, then. What the fuck !! Who do you think I’m ? Office boy arh ?? Delivery guy ?? Your servant ?? Worst of all, the Ipod is for their company-dunno-wat-lucky-draw gift !! So, of course, me being me, the nice and reasonable guy, TOLD HER OFF. (ok lah, in a pleasant, innocent tone); with excuses. Asked her to do it herself especially, it’s a company’s gift some more. Anyway, she knows I wun do it wan lah...she’s just trying her luck. Haiz...another classic. Dun worry, we’re still in PEACE.
Hmmm…I’m bloody pampered; took a cab back though not rushing for anything and it’s still quite early. Reached home at 12.00noon. Had my lunch, cleared the papers and did my laundry. It’s raining now. Super heavy…super good to have a good sex…oh...no, have a good sleep.

Friday, December 09, 2005

I need a rest.

Here’s the sequence:

Left office at 8.05pm.

Damn bloody tired.

Gym: Mission failed.

Weird people in MRT.

Hokkien Mee.

Sleep.

FAT.

That’s how my Friday nite.

Dinner with Chairman

As expected, we had dinner with the Chairman tonite; at this Japanese restaurant right beside Carlton Hotel, Hachi-Manya which is famous for their handmade udon. No excuses this time as the trade was relatively super low and we finished early...around 6plus. There were about 25 of us including some big shots from Korea. The main thing here was not the meal actually, but the liquor. We had this 2 super huge bottle of some top Japanese sake and 1 bottle of Chinese “mao tai”. FYI, the alcohol level is about 53%. Can you imagine that ?? When I burped just now, I can still feel the taste and fire coming out from my stomach (though after brushing my teeth, rinsed with Listerine and almost 1 liter of water later.) I dun had much...just about 5 shots of both and I’m feeling a bit tipsy liao… As usual, the Chairman’s style, he’ll drink with EVERYBODY; taking turns. Amazingly, he’ll be just fine although after so many rounds with different people. Anyway, he told us about his plans, futures and stuff. Seems bright and exciting…but who knows… But, seriously, the Chairman seems very sincere and really wanna adopt the international culture..we shall see... Left quite early; around 9plus. Most of the people were already super high and tipsy liao. We’re basically like floating to the taxi-stand. The whole group of Korean continued with their 2nd round, whatever it is !! Haiz, tomorrow still got to work leh and my boss wun be around some more. Another thing that I beh tahan was the “flow of info”. He’ll be on leave till next Monday and I only knew about it just now; as he thought he told me that his leave was including Monday...but no lor. Yes, he did mentioned long time ago, but that was not confirmed wat !! People, dun assume, ok ! Fine, let me get rotten these 2 days…And yeah, let’s hope I wun get super hang-over tomorrow..

Wednesday, December 07, 2005

Another late nite; reached home at 11.30pm

The Chairman came straight from the airport to office at 7plus. He did his routine; going around shaking hands with those people that were still around…Can’t believe some of the people that, on normal days, they will leave at 6 plus the most, but today, they’re still hanging around leh..ha-ha...and I thought this technique will only be used by low-crass people like me…I’m not alone after all…
Anyway, had dinner with Lena & Inn Kien at Café Cartel, Siglap. It has been like, more than half a year from the last time I met them. Their kids were not with them…also good lah...can have some quality couple times…After dinner, I went back to their place to see the “long time ago wedding picture” of them. I got some handsome pictures inside leh…as I’m one of the brothers then… Started chatted about the usual stuff lah...old time stories and wat have we been doin. But nothing beat the bitching of Miss B; ironically, one of my favorite topic. Haiz...only the 3 of us...ha-ha...really bring back lots of old memories and just like last time...I love you both, deep-deep, ok ! We should have more of this in future…And btw, Lena, I can’t believe that you actually read every one of my entries !!

You want to change job ?

Supposed to go gym with Fongy but me totally forgotten about it. Anyway, dun think I can make it as my boss need to send off someone at the airport and left early. So, left me struggled alone loh...you win already lor…ha-ha...no lah…he did call back to ask how’s the situation. Anyway, still met up with Fongy for dinner at Hans, Marina Square. Walked around City Link. There’re so many bloody people around, though it’s already 9pm. These people no need to work one meh..? Student got so much money to spend meh ? Shirley msg’ed me and said Hilda waved at me somewhere at City Link but I din notice her at all !! There’re too many people lah…can’t blame me…But fine...at least the train was quite empty. Are you looking for jobs ? Seems like people are still moving around…it’s like a non-stop thingy…it’s just a matter or many or little people doin it only. It’s like a musical chairs…or “exchange programme” in this industry.
And btw, Zuney, please dun leave comments as anonymous next time !!??

Super Late Dinner

I hate Mondays...Why must there be Mondays ?? Why can't we start off the working week from Tuesday ?? Anyway, it's a super quiet Monday here, in the office with people either on business trips or on leave. I can almost hear the mosquitoes flying passes by...talking to each other...
The "Chairman" will be coming to town this Thursday. Haiz...I suppose there'll be "grand dinner" again; with hard drinking session in one of the days. Let's hope he'll be too busy entertaining other guests...
Just came back from “zhe-char” dinner with Wilson; he’s on half-day leave from his “Europe-shift”. Waited for him till 9.45pm before we went for our dinner. Fuck, there goes my no-meals-after-9pm regime. And I had 11/2 bowl of rice some more. And btw, Fongy, can you stop telling the whole bloody world that I went to buy boxer shorts with you last Saturday. Siao eh...
Just rec’d some very sentimental messages from Lena. Sob…sob… you know I’ll be there for you no matter wat happens…

Sleeping Sunday

It’s a sleeping Sunday. I woke up at 10am and went for brunch with Miss Right. Came back, ironed my shirts and ‘nua’ around before hitting the bed again at 2pm and slept till 5pm. Went out for dinner at 5.30 and now, here I am. Hmmm, that’s Sunday for me; just like that. Nothing special and significant. Oh yeah, Wilson called and said he’ll be coming to office at Tampines earlier and asked whether wanna meet up for coffee. Haiz…too lazy and dun feel like going out at all.
Anyway, today is the MediaCorp Star Award show; will be watching as me and Miss Right will be betting on all the categories. $2 per award. Just bought 2 bottles of Tiger on our way back. So, tonite will be betting, drinking, eating, smoking & fucking. Hahaha…you wish arh !! No lah…the last 2 are not in the menu. Wish me luck...as in winning the monies…

Easy Customer

Saturday – 3 Dec: Still managed to wake up this morning at 8plus despite sleeping at 3am earlier. Met up with Fongy to go gym at 9.30am. She wanted to check out the gym and think whether to sign-up. So, we had talks with this sales guy and after filling up some forms and asked few questions by him, he brought us around and said that she dun need to sign up now as he’ll give Fongy a 2 weeks pass. Tested few machines throughout the “orientation”. Felt awkward during the whole walk as people giving us that “eew, see the newbie & dummy” look. And it doesn’t help when this bloody Fongy was SO shamelessly clumsy and making all the funny sounds and getting some unwanted attention !! Anyway, after that, the guy left us trained by our self. So, does my usual stuff while Fongy exploring some other machines. Finished exercising and went out to talk to the guy. Hmm… and by now, he’s like so wanted people to sign-up NOW rather than 2 weeks later. Keep on pestering and recommending all the alternate packages. So, since Fongy got the intention to sign-up in the 1st place, she fall for it lor. Her package; some corporate rate; by paying $900 in installment for 1 year and get 4 months free. And we both got some miserable freebies. Left the gym at around 1pm and walked around Orchard. Had some cheap lunch and bought 4D; Linus's unit number. **pray hard-hard**

Linus mini housewarming invitation yesterday...

Friday – 2 Dec: Called back home and talked for quite awhile. Someone suggested just go out and eat during the CNY’s reunion dinner rather than cooking our self. As usual, being the bloody most traditional and conservative and stubborn thinking that my dad had, it’s a big NO-NO. But still, if everybody agrees to it, he’ll be bo bian too...but will show the face lor, I guess. Anyway, we’ll see how it goes…
Then, at nite, we went to Linus’s new moved in flat at AMK (the simple bachelor pad). Dawn was there helping him liao when we reached his place around 8plus. The place is OK – minimalist. But I think he loved his kitchen to death. Fully-equipped with all the kitchen stuff. OK lah…I must admit, he’s quite good in cooking. His cabinet, fridge & tables filled with all the weird and rare ingredients. I think he really has the big passion for cooking lo… Really take his time to plan and cook the dishes. It’s all home-cooked food, ok. Check out the photo album. His place looks cozy and spacious. Only 1 thing missing: the TV. Can you believe it ?? He can hold on to this thing and put it to the low priority in his buying list.!! I thought people will die if dun have TV for one day ? How come arh ?? Anyway, his reason; 1st: he can use his PC to watch TV. 2nd: he’s not really into “entertainment”. 3rd: He’ll buy eventually. But he’ll buy a big plasma / LCD TV. So, it’s expensive and he needs to consider properly. Haiz…how can a home be a home without the great TV ?? Watever…he’s weird, anyway…ha-ha. Finished dinner and had cocktails + wine at the living room. Chit-chatted and bitch about office till 1am plus. Anyway, Linus, thanks for inviting.
And yeah, btw 2 compliments rec’d today: 1st: the cab driver said I look like mid-twenties, the most. 2nd: Some one said I look cute.

Irrelavant Dream

I had a weird dream just now. Me, Fongy, Zuney and WW (someone who left Citi bloody long long time ago and where we totally lost contact liao) were having wedding dinner (yeah, even in my dreams). Right after the dinner, we’re walking along some buildings and decided to rest for awhile before choosing where to go for supper. Throughout the conversation, this WW is already super pissing me off liao and damn irritating. She keeps on interrupting & correcting my English in the middle of nowhere and commenting lots of other things. I dun know why, the scene changed to some staircase in a hotel lobby though obviously, we already walked out just now. So, while sitting at one of those front staircases, only then I realized that these 3 girls were wearing the same pattern dress. But the colors seem different leh...oh yeah, that’s because the dress was dirty, dirtier & dirtiest. Me and WW continued to “suan” each other but in a no-joke way...and finally, I shouted, you doesn’t belongs to this gang wat. Why dun you go back 1st ?!!! My mind keeps on thinking what to say to attack her and then...the alarms sounded...ha-ha...And btw, she’s not bad a person in real. Tall, pretty and young some more...

Christine's Wedding

No choice; I left office at 7.05pm although the works was like still halfway thru… My boss handles it alone. And yeah, I left my mobile at home this morning; the feeling of uncontactable was so LOST. So, I just came back from Christine’s wedding at Meritus Mandarin. Acceptable food but not the service. Seems like staff not properly trained leh... Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS to the new couple. Again, saw few of the ex-colleagues. Always feel like reunion dinner like that… Many new faces in my previous unit liao. We dun know more and more of them. And of course, the CCS Gang was there minus the Kotek. Took some pictures. Had 3 small glasses of wine. As usual, I hated the “yum seng” part. It became more and more meaningless…unless you do it at the table…but nowadays, very rush mah, I guess. Do you all buy souvenirs for friends during your trips ?? Ha-ha…Yin Pei who just came back from India recently bought us chocolate each and some other little gifts. Then, Beanie who went Taiwan last week, bought us a very nice key-chain and some Taiwanese tidbits. I think it is very thoughtful of them and nice. People really spend time choosing and buying those things. I think I’ll be too lazy to buy lor…and I must admit, I seldom buy things for people during my holidays…but then again, I SELDOM goes on holidays. Anyway, the dinner finished at 10plus 11. Our Mr. Nice Guy aka Beanie, sent us back, though he’s in the 6am shift later. Inside the car, our Miss Zuney revealed few nonsense things…as usual. One being, she’s the Employee of the Month in January 1999. Two, reminded us that when chase by ghost, it will be like running in your dreams; meaning you actually still at the same place although you’re running very hard. Three, pulling the wrong “hand-brake” when she’s driving…hahaha…
Hmmm…fine, my hair no wet wet liao...can go to sleep already. Housewarming day, tomorrow…opps...no...it's later, tonight. Chao...
