To collect new passport on 3Jan'06.

Woke up at unearthly hour, 5.45am. Reached the M’sia High Comm at 6.50am. And can you believe it, there’s already a bloody long queue outside. The place wun open till 8am. So, waited for 1plus hour and my queue #...1043. (dun know why they must start from 1000) Ok fine, seated inside and when it’s my turn, it’s already 10am. Well…still not so bad; this was my target time, anyway. And best, surprisingly, the service is not so bad and in fact, quite nice and helpful (not wat I expected). That’s why you see, no expectation = no disappointment. However, the most amazing thing was, the “security guards” (I think they are, at least from the uniform they wore). Besides ‘watching over the crowd”, they were like super multi-tasked. From checking thru each and everyone when we’re queuing for enquiries, forms, etc to issuing of queue numbers + inspecting the forms to “administrating the waiting area”. ** claps claps **. Anyway the office here in Hill Street will be a temporary one only. I heard (yes, from the guard) that they’re moving back to Jervois Road in February.
Nevertheless, there goes my SGD 133 for the 32pages new passport.
Came back and had my lunch and took my 4 hours afternoon nap from 2 to 6. Tomorrow back to work…and yeah, they’ll be having a mini wine session in the tea-break time…so, everybody will be high from 4pm onwards…
