I sincerely CARE...serious !

Freaking tired and it’s a bad day. We stayed till 9.45pm. There’re new monies coming in for one of the fund. What can we say ??
Anyway, Lena called earlier. Hey charboh, I really really thought of calling you the other day…but as usual, busy…excuse, lazy…excuse, working late...excuse, sick…excuse, exams…excuse, etc…So, that’s why when you asked me how have I been doing, straight away I thought of this blog. It’s quite a good way to keep you updated of my daily life. I really really miss you a lot leh... Hmm...hearing your voice really brought back lots of old time memories. Most of them were like just happened few days back…sob...sob...Haiz...boh bian, we have our own life to go on…Must meet up, ok !!! We got lots to catch UP. And, yeah, still owe you few things…
Anyway, going in late tomorrow. And I need to go off early some more, for Christine’s wedding. Dun know whether can make it or not ? If the volume is like today…how to leave earlier ??

Moody moody me...

Bloody distracting in the office just now. They’re filming from lunch time all the way to 4plus. Fuck, in the end, dun talk about suits, we dun even have to wear tie. Only 2 of the portfolio managers being chosen to have a separate screen time. The rest leh…be the extras lor…really. Me and another colleague pretended to be having meeting while another colleague walked by. And then, another one is the recep girl. Nevermind….
My boss just told me that he’ll be clearing his leave on every Monday as he still has plenty of leave and since he can’t clear in one shot. Walau…great. Monday will be more blue then…
Anyway, need to go down to M’sia embassy one of these days to collect some forms; I need to make a new passport. Then, Thursday will be Christine’s wedding dinner. Friday will be so-called housewarming at Linus’s place.

Who should I sleep with to be a STAR ??

We were being instructed to wear suits for tomorrow actual shooting. Siao eh…where to find ?? Hmm...come to think of it, yes I have one. My secondary prefect’s blazer. Dark blue, very nice. But can’t bend my arm one lah – must be always straight out. Other than that, nope, dun have. But heng arh, after much “protest” from many staff, we only need to wear a nice shirt with neck tie. The MD more on; at first he wants people to bring 2 suits and ties so that the director or asst dir will choose which one will be more stands out. Seems like it will be a “big production”. Besides these 2 people, there’ll be lighting, make-up, cameraman, etc. Anyway, they already single-out the most photogenic person liao…yes, it’s not me (though whole day trying very hard to be outstanding).
Then, again today, we had free lunch to so-called welcome one of the new trader. Again, it’s the last min invitation thingy. 5 of us went including the MD. This time grand, man; we had it at the Chinese restaurant called Summer Pavilion in Ritz Carlton Hotel. Super duper nice and good service and environment. 3 types of dim sum, 4 dishes (steamed Soon Hock, crispy chicken, mushroom-broccolis & Ee Fu noodle) and desserts; the bill came out to be $200++
And yeah, I survived today without my partner. Luckily not many tough questions from people and not so many trades. Left office at 8.45pm.

We're gonna be STARS...

My 2nd brother and I were chasing after this big black lizard from living room to toilet to the kitchen. Each of us has the table cloth as the weapon. As we thought we had it covered at the corner, the lizard flew over and landed on my face. No scream leh...I just "pluck" it from my face by using the tissue paper and hold it for awhile before flushing it down the toilet bowl. Yes, that was my last dream before I woke up this morning. Heng arh, luckily in my dreams, I also not scare of those bloody cold lizards...
Monday...Monday...Monday...Blue...Blue...Blue...There'll be some film crew coming from Korea to shoot some film scenes for the company's PR audiovisuals these 2 days. All staff are to wear smarter, presentable & nice. Well, that's me all along. And, yeah, one more thing, there're another huge amount coming in to one of the fund. More FUND = more trades = more works = more late nights. Hmm..that's a great news to start off Monday.

It should END soon...

Woke up this morning with lots of dreams. Can’t really remember the sequence of it. And I saw my 1st crush…in my dreams. I was like cycling to her house and share school homework’s. Wow...that was like bloody long long time ago...in my Sec 1. Yes, I only had my 1st crush during Sec 1. Late bloomer mah… But subsequently, many many girls leh...but dare not express one lah…ha-ha...
Went to my face’s “check-up” earlier. Haiz...when izit gonna end ?? My face now back to lots of red spots liao after the extraction. Weird but funny, I dun fall asleep during the supposed relax head and shoulder massage, the double masque, the aromatherapy face treatment, the microfoliant, the dun know wat fuck and wat fuck…but I fell asleep during the extraction which is the most painful process !! So, slap me, people. But ok lah, the “aunty” really not bad… she talks to me like mother and son talk. A lot of nagging too…sometimes feels like calling out, MOM…
By the way, I ran 6km this morning, AGAIN. Not bad to go gym on a Sunday morning…not very crowded at all. Supposed to meet Fel & Rach there…but can’t find them. They’re there for the classes.
It has been few weeks liao since I last had my afternoon nap. Anyway, I'm trying very hard to cut away the nap. Why ? In case you dun know, my nap can be as long as 4 hours. Wasted rite !? Sian…sian…sian…Monday soon. And worst of all, my immediate boss cum breakfast / lunch partner cum job partner will be on leave tomorrow. Dun know whether can handle or not ?? It will be another late day, tomorrow. And I damn bloody tired now. Need to sleep soon.

Birkenstock : Sunglasses

Dun envy me, people. I managed to run another 6km at the gym this morning. I wanna be hardcore, at least for now when the heat is still around. Met a friend after the gym for lunch; what’s lunch for the day ? Roasted pork rice and 1 bowl of wanton…haha. And yeah, I can’t hold it any longer !!! I meant the Birkenstock sandals. Yes !! I bought it, finally; after few months of considering. It’s the Gizeh series with Khaki color. That’s why, God, pls make sure we have the bonus !!

And then, I got a free Nike sunglass too that cost $200 after discount. Why leh ?? That’s because my friend got this yearly special account where you can claim either dental or optical; kind of staff benefits. So, it’s end of the year liao, he needs to buy something or else the remaining money inside will be forfeited. Thus, he bought one too and the total amount came out to be $440. Lucky me, rite !?? Anyway, dun really wear sunglasses that often, but it’s free, just grab lor...As you can see, it’s the sporty type, so most probably will wear it during the blading session..haha...super stylo-mylo man…

Bottle of Wine

Supposed to be a dinner cum drinking night but because of someone (you know who you are) aeroplaned us at a very last minute, we changed it to just dinner. So, in the end, Greg, PT & I went to Bedok North for a simple but nice dinner. We left office at 8plus and took a cab from Millenia Tower. Greg told us about his New York trip. Haiz…my 2nd most wanted dream place. He went to places like Times Square, Empire State Building, Central Park, Wall Street, Statue of Liberty, Madame Tussauds, etc. Yes, all the places that I’m very familiar with…in my mind. When will be my turn ? Then, PT told us the reasons for withdrawing her resignation at the very last week. The management attempted 3 times counter-offer before she accepted the last offer. I guess, she’ll be married to the bank liao…
Today, in office, every staff got a bottle of wine. A quite good quality wine. Seems like the investors that came the other day; want to give something back to the staff, so they bought everybody 1 bottle of wine. OK lor…happy and take it as an early Christmas gift. Got a feeling more gift will be coming… Is this a good sign that there’s hope for the big “B” ?

Tired : Tired : Tired

Just because I skipped breakfast this morning, we had lunch at Rice Table. The Indonesian restaurant with a la carte buffet style; yes, that’s a damn heavy lunch. And I forgot to take my tummy trim pill. Double blow. So, it’s a big big mistake to skip breakfast – you’ll have bigger appetite for lunch. Anyway, at nite, it’s the payback time. That’s why, no matter how late I stayed just now, still went ahead to the gym. I left office at 8 and reached the gym at about 8.30pm. Do the treadmill with about 6km and some other tummy machines. To save time, I didn’t bath. Just changed the top and left at 10plus. And you know wat, at the MRT station; I realized that my shorts was totally wet with the very obvious triangle shape at the back…

Can we go along ???

Mission failed: As in going to the gym tonite. Got to stay till 8pm just now. Isn’t it the best excuse for not going…its damn late liao. We got free lunch earlier…yes, AGAIN. Dun be jealous, you people. Today we had it at Wah! Noogee House (just behind Carlton Hotel). They specialize in congee and noodle (which is why the name). The congee is super nice. The congee with abalone & chicken is a MUST try. We had dim sum too. The normal stuff. Today was on another boss’s treat. Again lah, the last minute invitation.
There will be a group of investor coming from Korea. By now, after dinner at Shanghai Grand, they should be at Tiananmen Nightclub together with our 2 big bosses. Bloody hell, there’re about 20+ of them. We counted for them, the bill should come out to be roughly 15k; all on company expenses. Haiz...why not save it and give it to us as bonus !! Or bring us along mah…better rite…Well, maybe this is how the front office did their marketing and sales…Budgeted amount for all these entertainment.
My gear is still in office. Will attempt to go gym again tomorrow. Friday will have dinner cum drinks with Greg & PT. Maybe will call Karen along. And yeah, by the way, we won the bet on guessing the sex of Edna’s baby. It’s a BOY. Haha...free high-tea next month. Woohoo…

Great Life Experience...

The SUN totally took the day off today. It’s drizzling all the way from morning till now… I’m like crawling to the toilet when I woke up. Had many many dreams again last nite. None of them wet, btw. Damn bloody sleepy in the office...I meant the whole day. Even standing in the lift or while peeing, I felt sleepy. Yes, it’s that serious. Today, we, AGAIN, had free expensive lunch. The MD, as usual, once in awhile, will bring us out for lunch. Today, we were at RENNthai, Suntec. Obviously, it’s Thai food. Quite nice, though the service is quite slow; due to the packed crowd. The 5 of us, we had about 8 dishes. Bloody bloated after that…almost can’t walk back to office…especially after the killer desserts. After joining this co, we had this kind of sumptuous meals pretty often. From Crystal Jade to Conrad Hotel to Paulaner to some fanciful Japanese food to Esplanade to some Brazilian food…but seriously, I hate to socialize in this kind of outings !! And the worst thing is, you can't reject it unless you have a fucking very reasonable excuse…Haiz...wat to do, you want free good food, then you need to mix around lor…Haha..ok lah...not really that bad lah…we now take it as staff-bonding session lor…But one thing for sure, our MD is not your typical Korean man. He’s liked the ABK (American-born-Korean) with very broad and open mindset. Well, at least he seems like that, to us. He basically left Korea when he’s just 3 years old. Anyway, he came from a well-to-do family one…His father’s a diplomat. So, he needs to move around every other 18months since young. He’s in his early 40s now and stayed in almost 20+++ countries liao. And he can speak so many languages fluently. He’s still got the very Korean look though. I’m personally quite amazed by his stories…
Just heard something unpleasant before I left office…It’s none of my business…but just listen lor… I can’t believe it. Politics – Politics – Politics. Anyway, it’s rather sensitive issue to continue…

When izit my turn !!??

Payday = pay day. Maybe not even enough. Hmm, let me see, which bill should I settle first ? Hai...when's payday again huh ??
Getting more and more friends on MSN Messenger. Especially the M’sia friends. It’s a good way to keep in contact. You can feel as though you can see them when they’re online – not necessary need to chat.
Last nite thought of sleeping early around 10.30. And when I least expected, Keong called me from the Changi Airport. He’s on transit flight to Osaka from M’sia. On business trip. So shiok !! But, it doesn’t excite him anymore – as in Japan trips; besides staying in Japan for almost ½ years for his training, he traveled frequently too to Japan after that. He speaks fluent Japanese. Talked to him till 11plus; until almost times up for his flight. He’s one of my informer buddies about M’sia news. So, in the end, not an early nite after all.
Seems like everybody is on either holiday or business trips. OK, 1st, Keong going Japan. Then, Yeau Wai just came back from China on Sunday. Greg is holidaying in New York. My brother is in Vietnam. Denny is in Australia. Lewis is enjoying himself in London. And Darren is in….Singapore. What a wonderful fucking life…
On another note, Christmas is coming AGAIN. The whole Singapore shopping center was like flooded with people…EVERYWHERE. Need to get Christmas present leh…Can dun give or not huh ? And I need to get something else for Lena’s kids too (my so-called 1 yr old godson & 2 yrs old god-daughter)...owe them for bloody too long liao…The most useless Godfather...

Harry Potter : Goblet of Fire

Just came back from watching HP:the Goblet of Fire. Yes, it’s dark...very dark show, literally. The whole movie is like no light at all. Always in dim atmosphere and lacking of brightness. There’s lot of firsts here. The 1st love, the 1st death, the 1st appearance of Voldemort, the 1st time HP semi-nude scene, etc. Anyway, I think there’re getting more and more character here. So, more and more character getting lesser and lesser screen time. Nonetheless, the show is good. So, will be waiting for the HP 5 & 6. In fact, HP 5 is already in the middle of shooting.
Well, well, well…Monday is coming. Damn bloody fast. Sat & Sun just passed like that. What did I do today, huh ?? Nothing…really nothing…Hmmm, left few hours now, better make full-use and triple treasure it...

Monthly thingy - Cafe Vienna

Slept at 3plus this morning and woke up at 8plus. Need to pick up Edna for our T.U.G. outing today at 10.45. This time we’re having the high-tea at Café Vienna – Hotel Royal Plaza on Scotts at Orchard. Well...the foods were pretty good, “more asian” food were served. It’s about $31 each. Finally, all 6 of us turned-up. Ray brought his son, Brandon along after numerous persuasions from the girls. We reached there at 11am and sat all the way till 2plus. Edna’s pregnancy is into the 5th month now. Still can’t see whether it’s a boy or girl. Will definitely know this coming Wednesday where she’ll be using the “3D” scanning which is more detailed scanning. So, we’re betting; Ray, Shar & Wilson guessed GIRL whereas Ed, Wendy & Me guessed BOY. The loser will have to buy the next high-tea. So, we shall see…Took some pictures. Went to Fareast Plaza and do some window shopping. Yes, I know, still under probation and controlling myself. But mission failed. Bought 1 Zara polo-T at 39.90. Ok lah…hor…not really THAT expensive. Furthermore, payday is on Monday mah… Walked along Orchard Rd all the way from Scotts Road to Wheelock to Cineleisure to Paragon. The Paragon’s taxi stand changed their place to another area further up and nearer to the main road after the minor construction. So many people got confused and even the taxis…all going to the wrong way / side … Anyway, had dinner with Edna & Wilson back in Tampines – the so-called famous frog-leg porridge and hokkien mee and carrot cake. And yeah, surprisingly, after weighing myself 2 times, one at Beanie’s house last nite and one using Miss Right’s machine just now, I LOST 4kg IN 1 month plus…Incredible. Hmmm…but I DUN wanna lost weight leh…I only wanna get rid of my bloody tummy....sigh…yeah, the thing is, the fucking tummy is still there...
Btw, the coming high-tea will be next December 16. It will also be the early Christmas and Wilson’s birthday celebration.

UnExpected Outing Later...

Met Damien at Killiney this morning during my illegal breakfast at 9plus. Most of the conversation, we were comparing our co's benefits. Hai...can't compare at all...though his was not that fantastic too. Will meet up again if there's any illegal coffee break next time; he said. Also another Mr. Freedom.
We had a free mini luxurious lunch today at Imperial Treasure Teochew Kitchen – Suntec City. It's all very typical teochew dishes. Thanks to this support lady from Bloomberg - anyway, it's on her co’s acct. It's an impromptu lunch with only the 5 of us...we're like the last minute invitee...but what the heck, just enjoy the lunch lor...
Anyway, just came back from hell a.k.a. the GYM. Yes, in the end, really nothing ON on a Friday nite. One side of me said; A bit wasted leh...not going out on Friday nite. Then, another side of me said; Better still, can rest at home and save money. Ha-ha…but now, just rec’d messages that Beanie is coming to pick us up to his place to see the wedding pictures. Yes, it’s ready. Well…not an early nite after all…I guess by the time we reach back home later will be at least 1 plus 2am liao…

Wine anybody ?

Damn bloody worn out today. Luckily nowadays the market is pretty quiet. Not many trades to handle. So, today most of the time was spent “stoning”. And you know wat; we had wine today, in the evening IN THE OFFICE !! Yes, can you believe it. Carrefour was having promotion for this brand called Beaujolis Nouveau. It is with fruity and well-balanced taste. The 5 of us finished up the whole bottle around 4. Well, I dun think this helps my tiredness...Basically, by 5; we’re like all semi-sober in the office. Haha..ok lah...not that serious...Hmm...will have an early nite later and yeah, I'll be uploading the wedding pix batch by batch...

Our comrade, Robin, got MARRIED.

Took a cab down to work because 1. I only slept for 4 hours. 2. Its bloody raining out there. 3. The alcohol effect is still around a.k.a. head spinning. Anyway, yes, Beanie’s wedding. Our whole gang were there. The couple looks fantastic. Very grand and really super organized. All the details were very meticulous. The clips shown were funny though...Met some friends and ex-colleague and ya, including that someone that we ALL dun really want to meet. The food is quite good. Dun really have to serve by our self...it’s all done by the waitresses. Heng arh...if not, have to always take food for the girls next to me and pretend to be gentlemen. Had few glasses of wine. Also, had some catching-up with those that I seldom meet. Lots of pictures taken...not only in my camera but someone else too. We all later went up to Beanie’s suite upstairs. The room is nice especially the bed. Hmmm...I think they’ll perform fabulously with that bed. High, soft & super comfortable. This Beanie is super “yandao” and super-duper photogenic in ALL the pictures. All the girls fell in LOVE with him liao...by replacing me with him. FINE. I’ll go for my extreme makeover too...you better watch out !! Anyway, seriously, Beanie really got the model look and pose leh...how come ? How come he suddenly changed from an ugly duckling to a dashing swan !!??? Beanie, you went for some plastic surgery izit ? It’s ok one, you can tell us... Anyway, we talked and again, took lot’s of pictures in the room...so, in no time, it’s already almost 2am liao...haiz wat to do, never take leave to become brothers mah..so paid back by staying all the way lor...So, he’s really really married liao...but dun worry, Beanie, we all still LUP LUP LOVE you extremely truly very much...We will still continue our group affairs...

Auspicious Day...

Just came back from Beanie big wedding day at Fullerton Hotel. Went up to his room after the dinner. Took lots of pictures with few cameras. Stayed there till 1am plus. So, can’t really say much now as it’s already almost 2am. Will write about it later of the day…I wanna sleep... Just to drop few lines while waiting for my hair to get dry. And ya, I just got these bloody gigantic pimples on my face. Realiazed it this evening. What a good day to come out !! Ok...leaving now as I need to go and commit suicide…

EAT...just eat watever...it's fine.

India is on holiday today. Went for a healthy jogging just now with colleagues. As a warm-up session today, we ran 2km and breeze-walking for 2km. Later, had a very bloody sinful dinner at Glutton's Bay – the hawker center next to Esplanade. We thought we can have a light dinner but then…the three of us had:
1>>2 big plates of Hokkien Mee – sharing
2>>A big piece of stingray – sharing
3>>Veggie - Kailan – sharing
4>>1 big bowl of fishballs - sharing
5>>1 bowl of meekia – myself
6>>Sugar cane each.
There goes the exercise – sit-ups – sweats. Nevermind, next time will be more discipline. We met this supposingly top host from Taiwan – “Brother Milk” (direct translation). He’s there with his friends. Quite tall and muscular build. Looks better than on TV.
Tomorrow will be Beanie’s wedding. Dinner will be held at Fullerton. Wun be coming back to change. So, will be wearing the “dinner shirt & pants” to work. Will be feeling quite weird but what to do...no choice. So troublesome, will do all the “touch-up” at office’s toilet. Especially now, with my face’s situation and the bloody hairstyle, more work need to be done. Will try to leave office as early as possible to meet up the gang. Some of them will be there even earlier to help out. Tomorrow will have the chance to meet some of the old frens and ex-colleagues. Fuck…this including someone that I REALLY REALLY DUN wish to see…particularly now, with my most ugliness moment...

Can knock-off early nowadays...

And did I tell you all, the working hours now are more stable - leaving on average about 6plus 7. Except on some days where we need to stay late. But still, it's not really that late anymore - like 8pm. Haha...yes, that's because the India fund has been used up almost all...like 80% of the whole fund invested. Haiz...but I guess, this honeymoon period wun be long as they'll be launching another India fund soon...like end of this month ??!! Walau...again back to 8plus 9pm era !!
And, just realized that my face’s jaw-line has this small little patch of blue-black spot. Not really that visible but still you can see it if you take a second look. Must be from the heavy construction a.k.a. extraction job done on Saturday. Just imagine the force being used !!

Activities * Activities * Activities

It has been quite awhile since the last time I'd a dreamless night - I think. Or at least, I have totally no recall at all of any dreams when I woke up this morning. So, with this, my mood doesn't swing much this morning although it's a freaking Monday. Not so temperamental though got a slight gastric problem. Anyway, few "big events" lining up for this week. Let's see...hmmm...there're:
1. Tuesday: Jogging with colleagues at Marina - big deal, ok.
2. Wednesday: Our Beanie BIG BIG day. Wedding dinner at Fullerton.
3. Thursday: Drinks with Daniel & Gary - not confirm yet.
4. Friday: Nothing ??? Can't be rite ???
5. Saturday: The T.U.G. outing at Cafe Vienna - Scotts Center.
6. Sunday: Harry Potter - Goblet of Fire.

Back to my roots - My Hometown...

Some basic details of where I came from...NO. I dun mean my dad's active sperm and my mom's egg !! But the place where I'd stayed for the 1st 20 years - hometown.
Well..wat can I say about Ipoh, my birthplace. Ok..my hometown not exactly Ipoh but 15mins journey out from Ipoh. It's called Gopeng, an even smaller town with basically nothing except mountains, caves & farms. Ok, not really that bad. They do have all the basic necessities like clinics, "foodcourt", kopitiam, shophouses, schools, restaurants, police station, temple, banks, etc, etc, etc...Hmmm, let me see, what else so special about there ? Nothing, haha..but there're a few caves that are really quite famous; like Gua Tempurung. People will come for the expedition or camping. And the mountain nearest to our housing estate is quite nice too. Ok..not really super wild mountain..but mountain with small little path for you to travel up. You need to go up to enjoy the natural wild like waterfall (ok, mini one lah..), refreshing rivers and along the way, you will see lots of plantation. All the weird insects, birds & plants. The the temperature will start going down too..as you goes up. You will see lots of orang asli too (but i guess, most of them moved down to rent houses already - they're becoming more civilized liao). Eh, did i mention before that my dad teaches at the school up there at the mountain before he retired !? That's why his last few years teaching were like honeymoon period 'coz the classrooms were small with limited students and when on rainy days, he will not need to go school at all. Gopeng is a bloody small town occupied with simple and very contented people. People are generally close there. However, town gossips are generally favourite past-time there too. Nothing much can be written about Gopeng. Oh yeah..we have "exotic" food being sold there too..like snake soup, turtle soup, squirrel, etc. Let's move on to other towns surrounding Gopeng. First, Ipoh. OK, it has everything. Few hospitals, libraries, shopping centers, hotels, big factories, clubbing scene, karaokes, broking firms, chill out places, financial centers, mini airports, train station, stadium, parks, many many good makan places..in fact EVERYTHING lah..mind you, Ipoh was declared a CITY many years back. But still, it's quite a laidback and quiet town. And FYI, the "IPOH HORFUN" here is totally different serving from wat in Ipoh. Horfun in Ipoh is just normal horfun..but smoother and nicer. It can be served in various ways. Ipoh also has many other good foods. But too bad, I can't really remember most of it or how to describe it. Ipoh also famous for producing pretty girls, supposingly. Michelle Yeoh is from Ipoh. But you cant really see them on normal days. You need to go back during CNY, and then at that time, Ipoh will be flooded with pretty, trendy and attractive girls. OK, we move to another smaller town around Gopeng - it's called Batu Gajah. An even smaller town than Gopeng, I guess. However, they have a very very small train station. But I think it's meant for load/unload stuff only and not for passengers...I'm not sure. They also have a tourist attraction in the form of a castle. Yes, CASTLE. It's called Kellie Castle. It was built by some angmoh lah..long long time ago...check out the webbie for more info. Quite a nice place to visit. The movie "Anna & the King" was shot there. OK, then we have the town, Kampar. Before the highways, Kampar used to be quite a famous town because everybody needs to go thru it to travel from South to North or vise-versa. But now with the north-south highway, there's no need to do so. Generally a bigger town than Gopeng but nothing much there..so nothing much to mention too..haha. Basically..that's about all. More famous places around Gopeng (journey within 1 - 1plus hours) will be Taiping, Cameron Highlands, Pangkor Island and further away will be Penang.

Lethargy Sunday...

Slept at 3plus this morning, so woke up late just now. There goes my tummy trim regime this weekend. If not, I would have hit the gym continuously 3 days. Sigh…Anyway, never mind, there’ll be jogging session with colleague after work on Tuesday.
Just came back from lunch with Sleepy. We bought a new clock for the living room. Sometimes just cannot stand her insensitiveness. We’re like looking around at those shops searching for a reasonable nice and cheap clock. Checked few shops and just because I’m talking on the phone outside at the last shop and she without asking me, made her decision and bought the new clock. I know...it’s a small thing, but at least ask mah...we’re sharing wat !! Ok…move on…and her name will be changed to Miss Right from now on…
Just now saw my cousin, Charine a.k.a Malau Wan on TV’s CNA. The program was about Entrepreneur in Singapore. The program did interviews with her boss and shown their presentation and brainstorming sessions. She’s in this event management company. In the scenes, she’s like laughing and raising her hands during the shoots...walau...really know how to grab the attention. Msg’ed her and she called back. This cousin of mine, one of my closest and best cousin around. Also, my childhood playmate and bestfren. Used to be a cheongster and party girl. She’s talented and smart. Good in studies, can draw very well, in a well to do family, finished all her piano grades and I guess, by now, she should have traveled the whole bloody world with the exception of North / South pole, maybe. You see, how can I NOT jealous of her...from young. Anyway, talked for awhile and asked her about her recent Greece and Italy trip.
Me: Hey, how’s your trip to Greece ?
She: Huh ? Wat trip ?
Me: The recent trip lah…your supposingly honeymoon ?
She: Oooh !! OK…fantastic…but that was so long ago?
Me: Walau…so long...it’s like only 1 month ago ??
She: Ha-ha…yeah...but since then, I came back from Gold Coast and also, Bangkok liao…
Me: Ha-ha...ok...forgotten…you travel like nobody business.
She: Ha-ha...the recent 2 were for co’s business...eat and eat…I put on weight liao...but just the tummy.
Me: Same problem. Try tummy trim.

Hangout at Starbucks...

Just came back from Starbucks. Had coffee and…tea – both with peppermint flavor. As mentioned earlier, with Shirley & Wilson. The pictures were nice and super clear / sharp. Haiz...how to compare my camera ?!! I like Saturday. Its super relaxes feeling with nothing to do and dun has to worry about tomorrow. Just chorboh at Starbucks chit-chatting and looking at people passing by for almost 3 hours. Shirley just passed me the Chivas to add up to my Vodka series and JD. Most probably will open it to drink during lonely days…haha...to get some kick.
Also, just heard from Sleepy that CNY tickets back to Ipoh have been started selling since at least 3 weeks ago. Those hot dates were all sold out liao. Will be following brother’s car since I can’t confirm the dates of my leave. Next year CNY will be on Sunday & Monday. So, izit confirmed that Tuesday will be holiday too ??

Sadomasochism, anyone ?

Forced myself to wake up and managed to go to the gym this morning – at 9.00am. Yes…tomorrow will be the same schedule. Morning – hit the gym. Today, all the timing seems just nice. Finished the torture at 11am plus. Reached Tampines Mall and bought my Yoshinoya lunch and also the much needed herbal tea. Went out again at 12.45 for the dermatologist appointment. She said – Wah, improved liao, hor ? Of course improved lah, bought the package already wat !! But still, some constructions need to be done. She promised me to make me handsome handsome and fine looking YOUNG man. All the girls will come to me – Ok lor...I’ll wait. Anyway, I believe somehow, there’s a sadist chip in me because I seem like enjoying the painful extraction. She keeps on saying it will take longer time to clear because there’s a lot of remaining black / white heads, my skin too tense lah...so the process will be tougher..etc...and keeps on asking me whether I can take it or not once in a while…clutching my hand, I said – CAN...FINE... but deep inside, I kind of like it although it’s really really quite a dreadful and pain process.
Meeting Wilson for dinner later and then, togerther will meet up Shirley for coffee and see her beautiful picture albums from the recent Boracay trip.

Tummy Trim - my aim...

Here I’m at home early on a Friday nite. Hitting the gym just now. After running the treadmill for 6km and some crunches later…I’m dead tired. A healthy Friday nite once in a while… ** Zuney, next time if can go out, said earlier mah...dun last min...need to plan …** The gym was not very crowded just now…maybe it’s Friday nite. Everybody went cheonging. Haiz…the feeling still there…as in demoralize when seeing those super toned people – not too beefy but just nice. When can I be like that…? Will go again tomorrow morning…if possible. Quite determine to get rid of the tummy...for now. Meeting the dermatologist again tomorrow afternoon for the 2nd rescue. Let’s hope it will get better. Just had my Maggie mee dinner with egg and braised nuts. Haha…not so healthy Friday nite afterall…

A So-So Haircut...

Just had my haircut yesterday early evening. Me and my boss went to this Heatwave at Marina Square. Just to try somewhere new. The price was quite reasonable. The hairstylist...well...quite ok. He will recommend things and suggest some new styles for me. So, landed up, he cut my hair short...spiky feeling but not exactly THAT short. And he suggested that to be different from other short crop looks, he just trimmed my back and left it slightly longer. Oh yeah, at the same time, he said I seems like facing receding hairline problem. It will recede and recede until the whole top patch goes completely bald. I look at the mirror, yeah, seems a little little bit of problem at the sides of the forehead...but not really that bad wat...So, again, being appearance always come first, I bought the "hair loss tonic" from Loreal because I think I'm worth it which he claimed super effective and can see results in 2-3 weeks time. Haiz...what a loser, I am...easily conned ! Then we went back to office to continue working - just to clear up something. And here's the top comments I rec'd so far when we reached the office:
1. My hairstyle looks like a rooster head.
2. I look like the "zhichar" malaysian cook from downstairs kopitiam.
3. I'm the Duran Duran's lead singer - Simon Le Bon from the 80's.
4. The extras from those gangster flick in an old TVB drama series.
Confirmed, I can't carried it off...what to do but to get used to it...

Peak hours in the train...

I tell you...you can really see lots of action in the train every morning / evening. All kinds of people. Just now, I was taking the train back at around 7pm from CityHall station. It's the super peak hour. When I walked in, the train already giving out the "warning" sound. Fine...but still there're people trying to squeeze in, mostly aunties lar...and also these 2 quite big size angmoh guys which were in their sleeveless Ts. I was standing and leaning against the side glass panel right besides the door - as in the other "non-open door". These 2 angmohs were standing super-duper close to me after they managed to force in. I was like literally kissing his shoulder. Imagine...it's that near. Luckily I'm tall enough, if it's Sleepy; practically his armpit hair will be pointing directly into her nose...

The Weather...today.

This morning was a gloomy and very hazy day downtown here in S'pore. The atmosphere is like London - though I never been there, but everybody said it's like that one mah...And now, in the afternoon, the sun was shining brightly - though it's not very hot. The weather is pretty unpredictable. It rains in Tampines early early this morning. The bloody road still wet this morning when I walked to the MRT station causing my shoes covered with wet sands. Anyway, it's a wet season now. It could rain anytime. I have 4 umbrellas in the office and 5 at home...talking about contingency plans. But I like the cool feeling though. At least there's no such issue with perspiring and the sweats flow all the way down to the underwear. Hmmm...it's Wednesday, the week is half-way gone. But still, remaining 2 days can be quite torturous...haiz...please, make me happy and smile for the rest of the days...

My Hometown Friends

Just rec'd some mails from my M'sia frens and suddenly reminded me of my kampong good frens. Well well well...nothing much has been said about my hometown friends so far. Haha...that's because it's too much thing to write about them if I really wanna jot it all down. Anyway, I dun really have many remaining good frens there. Let me think and count; there're Yeau Wai, Keong, Remy, Cheon, Keat, Yin, Shirley, Loong...hmmm...that's about it. So little arh ?? Well, I meant these are still in frequent contacts (ok, maybe the girls are not that often). I knew these people since secondary school days - like 18 years ago; yes, I'm old and it's really that long. So, you can imagine...how to write things about them ? They're a bunch of super nice, simple and very contented people. Not complicated like me...I dun know why I'm the odd one out - am I trying to seek attention or be special ? Generally, my group of frens doesn't really very expressive with words - I think… Without a doubt, we spent many many wonderful times together and countless outings - aiyah, wat do you expect, we grew up together wat...We're not only schoolmates mah...we're village-mate too...haha...Haiz...but we all "separated" when we're stepping into our 20's. All leading their own separate lives...working, studying, married...etc...Nowadays, contact thru mails and see each other only once or twice a year...What to do, life goes on...! So, no matter where you are, my goodfrens, ALL THE BEST and have a great life ahead !!!

My Beloved Classic Pyjamas

What’s this with stripes shirt huh ? Everybody is wearing it, including your cutie victim, me. My whole bloody wardrobe filled with stripes shirts. From working shirts to “social” shirts to polo-tee to bermudas to some of the pants. Various types of stripes with different colors. I think I only left with 2 miserable plain white shirts in my entire cupboard. Stripes are everywhere…really. The whole office building area occupied with people wearing stripes shirt. The fever has been around for at least 2 - 3 years liao…mind you, I started wearing early last year ok...But I think we should move on liao…today I saw the cleaner aunty changed into lady stripes shirt after her shift. Downstairs, the women security also wearing her stripes shirt. The Pakcik electrician wore a short stripes shirt. The delivery guy also wearing striking stripes shirt. The contractor opposite our office was wearing stripes pants today. These are signs that stripes has been awhile and reaching it’s maturity date liao…But, there’s nothing much or trendy to wear already nowadays…Anyway, I still like stripes and will be wearing it until the next BIG thing comes…
Since we’re on fashion – few weeks back, from far, I saw CY. He was wearing pleated pants. I didn’t call him, instead I msg’d him. I told him that pleated pants were so last last last year. He told me, it’s good for big backside people. Izit true ? If you have bigger backside, you can have double pleats somemore. Walau…where got such thing ?? So, people, to be trendy, wear flat-front pants ok…And yeah another NO-NO, make sure you dun miss any of the “ears” when you wear your belt !! It looks ridiculous and very sloppy. And strictly no too baggy or oversize shirts and pants...ok… However, sleek nice buckle leather belts and pointed shoes are optional…haha..

Minimal Monday Blues

Seems to have better sleep after changing the position of my bed. Instead of directly facing the toilet door, now its side facing from a distance. Still there’re dreams, but “milder and forgettable” dreams. But it’s too early to tell. It’s only my 2nd nite. Today, took the train with Sleepy. Anyway, will travel together most of the Monday morning as she needs to go in early for her dun know wat fuck sales and marketing meeting. The train was packed as usual. And this lady was so funny or izit shy... She’s standing next to me and when the train suddenly moved and jerked a little bit, she automatically and conveniently holds and grabs my arm like super good fren like that. And she just pretended nothing happens. Either she thought just now the thing she holds was the rail pole or I’m too handsome for her to say thank you.

Long boring week ahead...

Uploaded some pictures to Multiply. Did some maintenance to my PC. Hopefully will improve the speed a little bit. Anyway a boring Sunday…but it’s fine; need to stay at home anyway, to mentally prepare for the long week. Did all the usual housework’s. Wilson “chio” to go out. It’s either to watch a movie or he will come down to download the latest Jay Chou’s album to IPOD. But, seriously not in the mood for all these things leh...just want to stay at home and rest and relax and clear things and clean up. So, told him some other time then.

Patience & Tolerance are wat I need now...

People will do anything when they’re in a desperate stage. That’s what happened to me this afternoon at LD. The dermatologist commented my face until it doesn’t worth a single cent. Which was quite true? So, wat can I say…? Is really that bad !! In the end, signed up another package and made an appointment for next Saturday since she said need to do more frequent session to stabilize back. The patches of black/white heads need another round to totally clear it as it’s too much. She said my face will get swollen if to do too much extraction all at one go. Anyway, she did a lot of analysis and gave me lots of consultation. Can’t really remember all of them anyway. Too much info and too complicated. Now, my face fulled with marks and red spots…a lot…a lot…Will tolerate for few days. Hopefully it will be gone SOON…
Rushed down to Orchard to meet Sharon & Wilson right after the facial. Reached Wheelock at 5plus. Bought 2 round neck tees from Topman – using vouchers, ok ! Had dinner at Sakae Sushi – Wheelock. Need a short walk after the dinner. My god, Birkenstock outlet was so near….and everywhere…CONTROL…!!! Went to next door, ZARA for some browsing. Then, came back to Wheelock for cheesecake – NYDC. This time was really bloody full… We then walked to Paragon. Sharon needs to go Metro to buy lipstick. It seems like only Metro sell that brand. Halfway there, I can feel “something” is coming...Yes... diarrhea feeling. I can sense it…but should be able to hold on for awhile. So, once Sharon got her lipstick, straight way suggested to come back... and thank god...it’s just in time…

Appointments for the Today - Packed !

Made appointment with Leonard Drake at 2pm. Really really need the emergency rescue. Should be finished around 4pm. Will rush down to meet Wilson & Sharon in town for dinner and maybe hang around at Orchard. Thought of using my Isetan’s $120 vouchers. I think the expiry date is in Jan ’06. Well…we shall see… And yes, I still remember my promise...NO buying of unnecessary things…except by vouchers.
Still quite frustrated with my digicam leh…so many modes and functions. I still having problem adjusting and choosing which setting to use in all the various environment.
Sleepy will be having dinner and watching mid-nite with her friend. Bloody happy...will have some peace tonite..hahaha... Quiet and calm will be ensured...

Beanie's Mini Bachelor Outing

Today was quite a fruitful day except for the morning part where the running nose hits me pretty bad…need to go toilet few times to “clear” it..haha... Office like totally in holiday mood. And best of all, today was the first time that there were NO transactions traded for the day and India was on holiday some more. I left office at 5.45pm. A record since the new fund launching. OK, supposed to meet Ray to go gym but landed up he felt sick at a very last minute. So, he can’t go. But anyway, I plan to meet up with Fongy & Beanie after the gym session…so, well, it’s better then if he can’t go so that I dun need to rush. Since I left office early, I went ahead to the gym...but to the Republic Plaza branch. Treadmill and some crunches. Then treadmill again since I’m waiting for them. All in all, I ran 10km leh…I used the sauna too...for 15mins. Finished everything and to my surprise, Robin was downstairs already waiting for me. I’m supposed to call him once I’m finish…Walked to Fongy’s office which was already around 9plus. Damn disappointed with Zuney. She’s the one who initiated tonite’s outing and now, she can’t make it. Giving us some lame excuses. And she ignored all our messages and phone calls !! Choose not to answer it. Bloody hell...will surely “suan” her on Monday. Anyway, Kotek also another one. But maybe can excuse him ‘coz tonite’s outing was so last minute. He already made plans. So, met up with Fongy and proceeded to Boat Quay for Thai cuisine dinner. Simple but yet, nice. Then, we went to Penny Black for drinks. Supposing was Beanie’s mini bachelor party. Haha...but landed up, only the three of us. Had 2 rounds of drinks there. All the funny cocktail names - Snake-bite, Cosmopolitan, Sex on the Beach & jug of Margarittas. Took few pictures. (Check out the photo album) Talked and bonding session. The two of them swear that they never touched wine since last year's D&D. Haha...Later, we went to McDonald’s next door for burgers. Not all, but just Beanie and he had 2. Then, we walked to Fullerton Hotel and had drinks again at their lounge – The Courtyard. Iced Cuppacino for the lady. Rusty Nail and Dirty Martini for the guys. Horrible drinks and super strong compared to Penny Black. Took pictures again. R & R at their big sofa which is damn comfortable. In fact, so comfortable until Beanie fell asleep. Chatted for awhile and decided called it a day. And the time was already 2.30am…

Intensive Care - for my FACE

I had enough. So far, there were at least 4-5 people asking me about my face’s condition. Why ? Why ? Why must you treat me this way ? What have I done ? I’ve changed my bed sheet, pillow case, quilt cover, etc. I mop the floor pretty regularly. I even control my diet. I wash my face so so so often. And yet, my jaw-line was covered with lots of black / white heads or whatever you call it. First, they asked me how come so many pimples, then whether I got rashes, then they asked izit chicken-pox ? Fuck...I got no face to see people liao !! I need to make an emergency visit to Leonard Drake immediately !!!

Where are my long lost frens ?

Just now on the way walking back after dinner, Sleepy was telling me that it has been quite awhile that she last seen her few good frens. Straight away I made the comment that she must “at least make some effort” to meet them. And she shot me back saying me too; never make any effort to contact my frens. My very first thought was, NoooO ! I do meet up lots of frens. I always go out and she always stay at home...even on weekends !! How can she compare herself to me ? But then, few seconds later, hmmm, I could be wrong. I seems like only meet those “recent frens” and not those “old frens” of mine. Yeah...I guess I need to make some effort too, to keep back in contact of those “long lost frens”…

Izit HariRaya today ??

Just woke up from my 2 hours afternoon nap. Yes, I do sleep short naps occasionally. Feeling dizzy & groggy. Just checked my student portal. Basically nothing much. But I need to buy some reference books though. By doing that, I dun feel so guilty mah... Hmm...the atmosphere here is so different from my hometown during Raya day. If it’s back there, you’ll see the TV full of Raya programmes and neighbors will give us those cookies and stuff. Outside, you will see people walking in groups in their traditional Malay costumes. Haha...or maybe I need to walk out to see…But no matter wat, it’s still felt good since it’s a holiday.

The Impossible...

Phew...the migraine finally subsided. Thought of going to see doctor if it continues. Yeap...happy...tomorrow is holiday AGAIN. Anyway, today is already like holiday mood in the office. It could have been better if not because of the migraine / running nose. Let me see...wat should I do tomorrow ?? Hmmm...I guess I need to sort out something about my study materials. If possible, need to start “a warm up” revision on my subjects very soon. Haha...do you think I can do that ?? Btw, I’ve been absent from class pretty regularly nowadays…something that I need to stop and change…

Happy Deepavali

Seems like the afternoon nap doesn’t help to ease away my migraine. It’s still around. It's pinching me hard at the corner at the back of my head. ************ I’m just thinking how long can I last without buying anything at all !! I really really need to control myself from spending on unnecessary things. OK, this time I’m SERIOUS.
Well, today it’s confirmed a bloody HOT day. Till now, you can still feel the heat everywhere. Anyway, if it’s not because of Wilson, I would have meet Seow earlier – my last time lunch and dinner kaki. Long time never see him liao. He will always bring me to those either weird or famous places for meal...as he’s driving. Hmm, maybe next time will tell you more about him when I really do meet up with him. In fact, I go out with him pretty often until recently…
On another note, it’s so hard and miserable to hide something in your mind and keep on thinking should I, should I and should I !! If you dun say it out, then you’ll suffer in silence but if you say it out, argument might happen !! Haiz...fuck feeling !!

It's damn HOT out there...

It’s damn bloody hot out there. I almost died of heatstroke. Can’t imagine if I’m now blading at East Coast. Yes, the tan but no, the heat.
Anyway, woke up with terrible migraine AGAIN. (someone told me before that migraine linked to depression – izit true ?) Waited for Wilson to come to download the Gorillaz’s CD this morning. Went out lunch with him at Century Square. Both malls were flooded with people and outside, the SUN was extra-hardworking. Got the Eros and Monster-In-law DVDs. Will be watching it later
