Ok…finally the Harvey Norman vouchers were passed on. Better as I’ve many temptations to use it on myself and buy some unnecessary things. Zuney & BF, Beanie & wife, Kotek, Fongy and ME met up today for dinner at Marche Suntec. Rushed like hell to reach there on time…Anyway, ordered the usual things…
The whole night Kotek was like non-stop talking and babbling about his problems…haha…from office boss to childhood stories to his reno to his recent outings. Come to think of it…really, words and words and words keep on coming out from that small little mouth…ha-ha…maybe nowadays he dun have the chance to talk a lot in the office…

Half-day leave...

Half-day off today. Why leh ? Due to the following few reasons:

1. to pass coins to Rab for exchanging of dollar notes
2. to clear my leave, anyway.
3. to start off the studies material; which failed miserably.
4. to enjoy my afternoon nap; not enuf though...only 2 hours.
5. to do some serious groceries shopping; which I spent $70 on this alone.

So fast...mid-week, tomorrow will be Thursday liao...contemplating to go gym or not to go !!! The fever died off already...damn bloody fast...

Dental Appointment at 9.30AM

Had my dental routine check-up at Raffles Medical Group. Ok…not really a routine…it has been 2 years since I had my last check. Anyway, nothing serious and the dentist seem strongly against me to go for bleaching. All in all, the bill; $189. Company expense, so, it’s fine.

Few more hours to go...before Monday Blue.

Sunday night…normally the lowest morale and highest mood swing of the time for majority of the people…I think. Haiz, another week just passed; LIFE. Anyway, just now I was wondering, will your life be totally affected by wat group of friends you have that surrounding you ? Anyway, finished my bloody houseworks and basically nothing much done after that. Expenses of the day; $40…it would have been lesser if it’s not because of the lunch appointment…but I can’t complain for such outing right ?

Bak Kut Teh, anyone ?

Just came back from my Bak Kut Teh lunch. It’s bloody far and hidden ok. Most of the people can’t find it. It’s at this Keppel Road-opposite FujiXerox Tower-facing ECP flyover-near the PSA area called “Ah Hwa Bak Kut Teh”. The whole kopitiam belongs to them. Not the whole gang there, only Johnny & Wife, Vincent & GF, Brandon & son and ME. Lena & Inn Kien din show up…kid’s sick…I heard. Anyway, yeah, it’s not bad…with varieties of side dishes…but it’s a bit over-priced though; total bill: $110. Hmmm…ok…housework time…after my nap.

Male Bonding session...

Another week another Saturday. Should’ve been a spending weekend but then, the amount not credited yet…so…Yeah, they FINALLY announced the big B. Well…higher than my expectation but still…people never be contented easily one…especially me. And we got our increment too…Anyway, the bonus will be paid up in either late March or early April. So, I tell you…I’ll make a killing this coming weekend.
Anyway, went to Blooie’s at Science Park with Ray last nite. A super good place to eat, talk and chill-out. A very big place and a very family-oriented place. The black pepper chicken is nice…as highly recommended by Ray and the pork chop too. Anyway, I went to Blooie’s before…at Siglap branch. As suggested by the waiter, bought the membership card too…at $10…so that I can be entitled to the 15% off on all menu and also, 1 for 1 drinks whole night. Pretty worth it right…Talked to Ray on all my “issues” recently or rather updating him since it has been awhile that we really talk… And then, we brought up this bloody idea that we’ve been planning for ages…the few of us to check into a hotel…a good hotel…just to chill-out. Haiz…even such a simple task also take forever to fulfill…and now Ray suggested to go for a short trip…some beaches...Haha…I guess he’s getting sentimental last nite. We talked until SO serious and almost like confirm going in late April like that…well well well…let’s see how…But I do hope that we’ll go somewhere…Left the place at 12 plus and went straight to Sharon’s place at Simei for some quick chat… (Ray sending me back and it has been awhile since the last 2 met, so, that’s why the late meet-up with her). And Ray suggested another thing; to create a blog for the gang. Everyone will have access to it and update it as and when…then, everyone will know what’s happening to each other since we seldom meet nowadays…Haha..That’s why I said, Ray is a bit emotional and sentimental last nite. We had this conversation with Sharon;
Me: Ray purposely wanna come to see how’s a women looks like when they’re in love …?
Sharon: Huh…yeah…
ME: Yeah, they say women in love looks prettier…
Sharon: So…?
ME: But seems like it doesn’t works on you…hahaha…
Anyway, left the place at 1plus2. Knocked out at 3plus. Woke up this morning and purposely went down to Orchard just to spend my $20 Isetan voucher (which will expire in 2 days time). I bought this Biotherm moisturizer for my gym use…that cost me $48…Bought my 4D too and that’s about it…and came back…haha...stupid right…? Nebermind…this is my another “saving” weekend mission. It will be a DVDs weekend. Had my afternoon nap…Anyway, tomorrow will be having bah kut teh lunch with Johnny (came back from Taiwan), Inn Kien, Lena, and dun know who else…most of the really really old gang…at Keppel Road. Better be good man…travel all the way down…

I went to Planet Fitness again during lunch time today with my boss...hardcore isnt it ? Fully-utilize it while the fever still in me...Ha-ha..somehow, the 2nd time going seems different feeling from the 1st time leh...but still...it's ok...the convenient sake is already a big bloody plus point...

Planet Fitness; my first time.

Just came back from my virgin trip to Planet Fitness during lunch time. I went with Bryan; he went for the Yoga class and I went for my routine treadmill. Anyway, just want to explore the place 1st rather than hardcore exercise. I tell you...seriously, it’s so much better than Cali. You dun feel so packed and the floors are so spacious. I dun know...maybe it’s during lunchtime, so not so much crowds...but still...it’s bright, tall ceiling, nice view...basically it’s an open-concept idea. More important, it’s just opposite my office. Give me 1-2 months...I’ll convince my evil side to just clx off Cali membership. But go during lunchtime is a bit rush though...slightly need more than 1.5 hours...including tapau back lunch. So, here I’m...refresh earlier but now feeling sleepy...hey, I did 6km and some crunches ok...

Debt free...I want.

I just realized that there’ll be lots of debts to clear. Fuck, even with the bonus, it doesn’t really mean I’ll have extra cash to spare.
Bloody hell…all because of the enormous studies fees…if not, I would have married, settled down with 3 kids and live happily ever after.
Hmmm…on another note, the thoughts of moving still lingering in my mind leh…With the current condition with Miss Right, I guess it’ll be better to move out the sooner the better for our friendship. And the sad thing is, I dun really think she cares what’s happening now. The situation now is just so different and I really dun wanna strain our “relationship” any further…but then again, the bloody moving thingy is damn fucking sian. Besides the finding of places or moving the things or adapting new environment or changing of address or any other hassle, the most important thing; there’ll be big cost involve !! This is pulling me back now…Haiz…let’s hope I will strike 4D soooooon….

Nearing to Bonus Day...

After much dragging, persuasion and reluctance, I went to Raffles Hospital with Brian on Friday evening to…supposedly to have the Chicken-pox vaccine jab. But then, after the consultation, the doctor said in order to ensure the vaccine really works, it is good to wait till 3 weeks later since the last contact with the infected person. So, there you goes…Haiz…which is next Friday; most probably will go for it still, since my medical acct in the co still have plenty of money. And yes, will make my dental appointment too; just to make sure that by end of March, I will manage to clear up most of the amount.
Edna’s little baby Tyler came out early on Friday’s morning. Went to visit her with Ray & Wilson at night at Mount Alvernia. If I’m not wrong, it is the 1st time I see baby with less than 1 day old !! Anyway, we then went to Upper Thomson Road for the Nasi Goreng / Prata dinner. And I thought it’s only supper time then it’s crowded but seems like it’s crowded all the time. We then proceeded to this just opened drinking place called “WineFlair”. Ordered a bucket of Hoegarden. Quite a nice place with good view at the 2nd floor…but left once the so called live-singer started singing all the oldies. We then realized that most of the crowds there were old people too. We moved on to another drinking place called……Fuck…I can’t remember liao…but it’s also along the Upper Thomson Road. But the crowd is definitely younger, trendier and just like us…happening people. Hmmm...the place really quite a good place to chill-out…especially the seats outside. You can really talk and talk and talk and in your most relaxing berms and slippers. Suddenly I realized that there’re quite a lot of happening places along Upper Thomson Road. They even have Prata Café; I guess it’s a high-crass prata stall…
Watched V for Vendetta on Saturday’s evening with Wilson in Tampines. Hmm…dun really like it…lots of dialogue and not enough actions. Sharon joined us for dinner at Crystal Jade. Quite ex leh…$70 plus just for few dishes… haiz...still thought of saving somemore by not going downtown !! Hangout at Starbucks…reading our magazines…Is Folio a very gay mag ? No wat…it’s a good book to get some male fashion tips…but high-end and super expensive tips lah…But the most important is, it’s only $4.80; can you imagine that ? Cheap magazine offering super expensive fashion taste !! Anyway, came back to my place to watch Man On Fire; together with vodka-ribenna. After 2nd time watching it, still like the show very much…but the way it was shoot; very MTV-style.
Sunday…in order to really really save money, decided NOT to go out AT ALL. Just for lunch & dinner. Today expenses: a grand total of $7. Really must aggressively on saving mission until the bloody B announcement is made !! Everything must be put on hold…just spend on the really necessary things…And I’m so proud of myself just now…after so fucking loooong, I finally manage to prepare all my studying materials and put it in one place...as in a more convenient place and easy to reach place…haha…it’s 2 months plus before the big bloody day. And yeah, the usual ritual process, I drafted out the preparation time-table too…leading to the dooms days…early June.
Ok…continue with my adhoc mission of boosting my immune system over the weekend. Yes, the chicken-pox infected Linus will be back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks MC. From yesterday; sleep early-checked. Lots of water-checked. Expensive Vitamin C-checked. Honey water-checked. Afternoon nap-checked. OK…will be sleeping early tonite…

If it's not yours, it's not yours...

Hmmm...let me see...wat happened over the weekend ?? OK...Friday left office at 8.30 (though not finish; boss covering) to meet Zuney & Fongy. Yes, nowadays, the group left the 3 of us only. The rest are either avoiding us or we’re not that important to them anymore. We went to Katong area for the “5 Stars Chicken Rice”. Actually am not really that hungry as I had some Korean food earlier on. Not too bad the food but the waitresses are too aggressive liao...trying to “pull customer” very hard. This reminded me of Geylang...you better not make any eye-contact if you dun wanna make business with them...
Anyway, left the den and proceeded to Grapevine; a quiet chill-out place along the shop houses at East Coast Rd. Had some beers and mass bitching sessions. Hey, we’re not that shallow ok...we do have some heart-to-world economic-to-current affairs-to-heart talk too. Anyway, not many people there leh...Dun know how long they can last...though they open till 2am.
Then, Saturday...let see...nothing much...housework day. Only stepped out of the house for dinner and coffee; all complimentary of PT. Yeah, she got her bonus too...bloody hell...within 2 days, 4 of my frens announced that they got their bonuses. My god. What’s happening ?? Slept at 10plus though I got my afternoon nap earlier on. Imagine how tired I am ??
Sunday: Met up with Wilson to collect something from Zara after alteration. Basically done nothing; just walking around Orchard. Oh yeah, bought 1 haversack from Nike; after discount, $36. I’m all ready for some serious bladding session. Left Orchard and went to Katong for dinner; Laksa & Char Kway Teow. Went in to this shop selling rollerblades but just can’t make up my mind which one to buy and of course, the price also plays a part. And this is the 2nd time I went in...haiz...That’s why sometimes, people cannot have choices...!!
And, the biggest blow happened at night. I’m not referring to BJ but the other blow. OK...for the past 2 weeks, I’ve been buying this 4D; 3227 & 2732 (my age & someone age). And because I din go out on Saturday, I din buy the numbers and only bought it on Sunday. And guess wat, when I checked my numbers on yesterday night, 3227 was the 1st prize on Saturday. Fuck hell...the god must be playing on me...as if I’m not miserable enough. And worst of all, on Saturday afternoon, I’m still asking myself should I go out and buy...though the main number I wanna buy on that day is 1702; but I’m sure I’ll buy the other set of numbers too... Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccccccccckkkkkk...I could have won AT LEAST $5k !!!!!! Why ??? Why ??? Have I been a naughty boy recently ?? No wat...I never spend anything unnecessary recently wat ?? OK...fine...forget about it...
So here I’m...on a Monday afternoon...with my mourning still around, my boss is on 3 days leave, no news on our bonuses and pimples keep popping out...how great is my life ??? Thank you, GOD...what else can I ask for ??

Ok…it’s official. We finally got our Planet Fitness membership card; yes, given by the co. Hmmm…will have to find the auspicious date to cancel off the Cali card then.

Oscar ... Oscar... Oscar. Yes, I’m on leave today. Woke up at 6am to start watching the Oscar…and the video streaming thru the internet. Ha-ha…yes, told you all already…I’m really hardcore into such trash. Can you believe it…8 hours of non-stop pleasures…ha-ha…
I then, met up with Pat, my new insurance agent for some new policies and CPF investment plan. And before that, finally sent my bed sheets & quilt covers to laundry after like putting aside for 2 months…
At a very last min, made appointment at Leonard & Drake for some maintenance work. Finished at 6plus and met up with Seow to have dinner at Bedok. Well, that’s about it...my leave…quite fruitful.

Should I buy IPOD video ??

Met Seow for brunch. Had some afternoon nap (long time never take nap liao). Met up with Sharon & Wilson (yes, AGAIN) for dinner. Ok…not like we wanna meet so often...but Sharon wanna update some songs in her IPOD. So, there you go…my place. Left my place at 9 plus…thought of supper but in the end too tired…after some vodka-ribenna.

Met up with PT for some coffee and talks at Starbucks. Supposed to go down to Bugis for movie with Sharon and Wilson but they’re not showing the show I wanna watch...so, proceeded to Orchard (as usual) for some shopping. Both of them bought something at Zara. Checked out the Birkie and Apple shop. Wilson thought of buying an I-Book. Had dinner at Fish & Co. We then went on to HMV for some DVD shopping (yeah, Wilson is so into DVD collection now). Me and Wilson then moved on to Mel’s place at East Coast Rd for some drinking and and and top-shells.

Scary Word : Chicken-pox

Well, supposed to go Linus’s place for a small warm chill-out. Though most of the people can’t make it but still, Dawn and me decided to go ahead….but heck, seems like the God dun want us to be there too…’coz Lines landed up down with chicken-pox. Haha…poor little guy…will be on 2 weeks MC. Anyway, chio Fongy at a very last minute and we went out for dinner at Paulaner; which is just around the corner. And then, worst of all, tried booking cabs (especially after some beers) but managed to get one only. So, wat to do…walked all the way back to MRT station…alone.
And yeah, there’s some farewell party at Balaclava for one of our ex-coll; well, not in mood for hardcore drinking.

We had this FREE lunch complimentary of some vendor from Korea; 1 young cute guy and 1 young messy hair girl. So, we had this bloody expensive but super nice typical Korean food at Suntec.
Called back home and as usual, the topic will boil down to money. Haiz…they’re going holiday soon, as in May and expecting some sponsors; ME. Damn demoralizing…
I just realized something awesome about the frontline people in our industry; where news travels really really fast. Our trader just tendered yesterday evening but my boss straight away rec’d a sms this morning telling him that our trader will be leaving and joining so and so before we all even knew about it…it’s amazing.
And yeah, finally there is some news about our big B !! Dun know when and how much yet but at least we knew someone working on it…Haiz…let’s just pray it will be as soon as possible…
