Stan. Chart. Marathon - 3 Dec 2006

Well...I survived. Woke up at 5am and took the 1st train or maybe 2nd or 3rd... Met Eng Kok when came out from cityhall station and asked him to join us since I’ll be meeting Ray & gang near the padang. The race started at 7am for 10km runners. Basically, we walked the 1st 15mins because it’s damn too crowded. And as always, felt like fainting and dying throughout the race. It’s damn packed all the way to the finishing line...unless you’re a super good runner and zigzag thru all the runners blocking you...Anyway, we ran our own since it’s just too crowded to run together. Reached back the finishing line at 1.02mins...5 mins worse than the NB real run and the real run supposed to be more tough and difficult. And one weird or rather scary or worry thing happened;...I’m wearing double layer (the race singlet inside and my white T outside) because I can’t find the baggage area. So, I ran in double layer, hand phone & wrist-pouch. It must be during the pining of the race number on my T’s that it might accidentally ‘touch’ my nipple or wat that right after the race, I realized that there’s a whole big patch of disperse blood stain all over my right chest area. The thing is, I dun feel anything at all until I wanna take out the number then I saw it. Quickly took out the white T and just wear the blue race singlet. Surprisingly, there’s no stain on the blue singlet although I’m wearing it inside. Anyway, my whole white T was wet...and also with blood stain on it. No wonder, right after the race, while still catching up with my breath, so many people were looking at me...and my chest. So, once I realized the whole bloody (hmmm) thing, which was already like after 45mins after crossing the finishing line, I quickly took a cab home...in just the wet blue singlet. Dun laugh, ok...it’s not funny.

Regret...again.

Damn bloody regret now. The marathon is tomorrow. Can’t sleep now...keep on thinking about it...fuck...why must I run ? Bought some old shows...all from director Wong Kar-Wai. Will wanna collect all his movies...

A last minute T.U.G Outing

Just came back from Foo’s House for dinner with Ray, Wilson, Edna & Sharon at Simpang Bedok. It’s open by one of our ex-colleague; Samuel. The chef, his uncle is one of the high-profile chef, supposedly helped to set up the Mezza 9 at Hyatt Hotel. Anyway nice food & reasonable portion...I got to say that...haha... especially after 1 round of beer was on the house. Sharon left and we went downtown to Robertson Quay to meet up with Wendy and had coffee at TCC there. Yawning and yawning throughout the conversation...must be getting old...and it’s only like 1am...or izit because it’s too comfortable and no alcohol ??

My R & R trip to Bangkok – 17th – 20th

We reached Bangkok new airport on Friday midnite. It’s still having that very ‘raw’ look. Damn bloody tired liao and the Finnair-as-old-as-in their 50’s-stewardess doesn’t really help thru the journey. And the oldest is the rudest. But ok...it’s not to me. Anyway, reached Holiday Inn Hotel around 1am plus and straight to bed. Hmm, let me see, wat did I do on sat...yeah, a decent nice buffet breakfast at the hotel. We walked to Novotel Hotel for the supposedly highly recommended tailor for shirts / pants. Fuck, reach there but still not open yet; at 10.30am. Decided not to wait anymore and proceed to Chattukchak; the weekend market. Took a train...like about 15mins. I tell you, it’s damn bloody fucking hot. It’s huge and it’s crowded...but still, I like it very much...ha-ha. I dun know why, maybe I’m tired or it’s the whether, after having 1 jug of beer there while resting, I’m a bit high. When we continue to walk around, I felt a bit floating...but somehow, I like that feeling too. Spent 6 hours there... and I think we have not really covered the whole area yet. Bought mostly cheap T-shirts and some aromatherapy thingy. Came back to Novotel for the shirts. Since not feeling so confidence about their workmanship, I just tailored 3 shirts which cost me sgd100.
I’m amaze by how fast they can deliver the 1st shirt. We’re there at 6pm plus for the ordering and measuring and they ask us to come back at 9pm plus for the fitting; impressive. If it’s right, they will deliver the rest of the shirts to our hotel the next evening. So, we went back to hotel for shower and had a super nice and expensive Japanese dinner before coming back for the fitting. Check-out the Siam Paragon for awhile and recce around that area. But, well, traveling with a bunch of decent people, landed up no wild and exciting nightlife. Yeah, start booing...it’s that boring. But, its fine ‘coz I got quite a serious headache that night too...so, it’s an early night...like 12plus, we’re asleep. On Sunday, whole day shopping around Paragon, World Trade Center (which going thru a major revamp), Siem Discovery Center & MBK. I still quite like MBK. Lots of cheap stuff. Had nice authentic thai dinner. Came back to hotel room and chill-out and drinks and gossip. Rest and relax day on Monday morning since we need to check out at 12pm and reach the airport at 1plus. It’s a raining day on Monday. Reached back Singapore around 6pm. Well, that’s about it. No major excitement, no animal show, no pubbing, no aqua show and we dun even have any clean massage.
